Alva Guesthouse is an attractive bed and breakfast set in farmland and situated in the small coastal village of Mainsriddle.

Overlooking the Solway Firth, Mainsriddle is on the A710 between Dumfries and Dalbeattie.

Dalbeattie is about 9 miles, Dumfries is 15 miles and Castle Douglas, 16 miles.

Alva House, the name of our property, is OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND and offers private off-road parking and a safe lock-up for bicycles. We also welcome well-behaved, clean pets.

Our aim is to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay to all our guests.

We have RED SQUIRRELS and a variety of wild birds and other wildlife  visiting us here and guests can enjoy watching them in our quiet and relaxing garden.

Twin - £27 pppn or £30 pn for SINGLE OCCUPANCY

Double - £28 pppn

Family - £28 pppn but CHILDREN ARE HALF ADULT PRICE

Our guests have the use of the Conservatory.......      

......and the Lounge, where a selection of books and a

CD player are available, to help you relax and unwind

whilst you're with us.
